Arsi University and Sun chon National University are working on dairy project entitled “Improving Productivity of Dairy Farmers by Supporting Dairy Technology and Infrastructure”.

The university has imported 3,000 (Three Thousand) straws of Holstein Semen from two bulls (GENTLEMAN 208HO 10293 and CROWN 208HO 00540) which wasdonated by the South Korean Government through the project “Improving Productivity of Dairy Farmers by Supporting Dairy Technology and Infrastructure” to improve the dairy farmers productivity. The imported semen will used to improve the productivity of dairy cattle in Arsi university dairy farm and the neighboring community.

Arsi University BENEFIT-REALISE Cluster conducted Advisory council centred workshop on 22, December 2020 in Asella, Arsi. The workshop aims at exchanging information on project output and institutionalization of technologies that had been introduced into project mandate with advisors and the key stakeholders.

BENEFIT-REALISE is a three years project (2018 – 2020). Dr. Abebe Megersa, Arsi University BENEFIT-REALISE Cluster manager, presents objectives of the workshop and project progress summary to the participans. The discussion was conducted on the reports by the key stakeholders and participants of the workshop. Currently, Arsi University BENEFIT-REALISE works in three zones of the regional state of Oromia.
